Richard ‘Dick’ A. Keating
Sharon Tube retiree liked to hunt and fish
Richard “Dick” A. Keating, Hermitage, died at 11:18 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, in the emergency room at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a brief battle with lung cancer. He was 74. Mr. Keating was born June
6, 1936, in Pittsburgh to the late Helen (Freund) Keating and James T. Keating.
Dick worked at Sharon Tube Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Western Reserve Hunting Club in Mercer and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with his tools in his workshop. He is survived by: a daughter, Stacey Keating; a son, Christopher Keating; a sister, Dorothy Morocco, all of Hermitage; a brother, John “Jack” Keating, California; two nieces, Tammy Paternostro and her husband Nick, Louisiana; and Patricia Lordo and her husband Dick, Hermitage; and a nephew, Troy Anderson and his wife Nadine,
Hermitage. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly
J. Keating, whom he married July 8, 1967, and who passed away Sept. 23, 2009;
and three brothers, William, Raymond and Robert Keating.
Calling hours: Noon to 2 and 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday (1-15-11) in JOHN FLYNN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY Inc., 2630 E. State St., Hermitage.
Service: Funeral service at 6 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
