Leroy ‘Hankie’ Ganzy II
1984 Farrell grad worked at Wheatland Tube
Leroy “Hankie” Ganzy II of Hermitage went home to be with the Lord at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Interstate 80 in Hubbard Township, Trumbull County. He was 44. Mr. Ganzy was born Aug. 13, 1965, in Sharon to Leroy “Hank” Ganzy and Wilberta Amos Ganzy. Hankie graduated in 1984 from Farrell High School, then attended the Shenango campus of Penn State University, Sharon. He was employed for the
last nine years as a laborer at Wheatland Tube Co. He enjoyed sports and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Hankie enjoyed life, but most of all, loved his
family and friends. Surviving are: his fiancée, Karen Dallas, at home; his
mother, Wilberta Amos Ganzy, Sharon; five sons, Matthew Taylor, Sharon; André
Lee Christy, New York City; Andrú Lewis, Ohio; and Xavier Ganzy and Marc Ganzy, both at home; his sister, Eugenia Ganzy, Sharon; and two grandsons.
He also leaves: two nieces, Teyonnia Campbell and Katana Ganzy, both Sharon;
his godparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Alexander, Greenville; his godchildren, Braden Holloway, Greenville; and McKayla Bloodsaw, Hermitage; and many cousins and friends. Hankie was preceded in death by his father.
