Clara Louise Spetar
Holy Cross member liked music, dancing, family life

Clara Louise Spetar, Hermitage, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, in John XXIII Home, Hermitage, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. She was 91. She was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Sharon, a daughter of Olive (Teague) Feidler and Martin
Feidler. A homemaker most of her life, Clara loved working at the Shenango Inn in Sharon. She was a member of Holy Cross Orthodox Church, Hermitage. Clara enjoyed playing cards, dancing, soap operas, wintering in Florida, bowling, listening to country music and gospel music. She loved her entire family and will always be remembered for her sweet smile and positive attitude. When asked how she would like to be remembered, she would say: “Tell everyone I loved them so much.” Surviving are: four daughters, Georgiana Antol and her husband, Richie, of Traverse, Mich.; Elaine Wible and her husband, John, of Sharpsville; Carole Ellis and her husband, Tom, of Hermitage; and Sherry Dout and her husband, Tom, of Hermitage; a son, George Spetar and his wife, Phyllis, of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Judy Chalker and her husband, Bill, of Southington, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Dave Babcock of Southington; 12 grandchildren: Shelley Miller, Sheila Mosley, Shawn Antol, Shannon Gibson, Chris Killian, David Wible, Tom Ellis Jr., Chad Ellis, George A. Spetar, Danielle Ashley, Ashley Dout, and Garrett Dout; 17 great-grandchildren: Evan Miller, Natalee Miller, Samantha Mosley, Mitchell Mosley, Lindsey Mosley, Hunter Antol, Ashley Morrison, Brandee Gibson, Jordan Gibson, Lauren Killian, Austin Killian, Ava Wible, Will Wible, Grey Wible, Cade Spetar, another baby to be born in May, and Carson Davis. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, George Spetar, whom she married Oct. 29, 1939, and who died Oct. 4, 1993; an infant son, Ronald Spetar; sisters Doris Lymangrover, Viola Taghon, Betty Strahan and Eveyln Babcock; and a brother, Martin Feidler.

Service:
Funeral service at 10a.m. Thursday December 22, 2011 in Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 950 Maple Drive, Hermitage, with the Rev. Fr. Calinic Berger officiating. Visitors are asked to meet at the church.

Entombment:
Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
